Chennai:
Net collections under small saving scrips have shown record
growth during the current fiscal in Tamil Nadu, a press release here
said. There has been a growth from Rs.944.76 crore during the first
three quarters of 2001-02 to Rs.1379.41 crore during the corresponding
period in the current year. The increase of Rs.434.65 crore represents
an overall growth of 46.01 per cent during the corresponding period in
the current fiscal, the release added.
Growth in net collections during the third quarter alone equals
Rs.226.6 crore, which is 56.6 percent higher than that of the third
quarter of the previous fiscal.
