Women’s Savings Day is celebrated on 14^th April of Every Year through out India. In Tamilnadu it is being celebrated in each District with the participation of the District Collectors. In Chennai city, the Women’s Savings Day was celebrated with the participation of Commissioner of Small Savings and the Regional Director, Nation Savings Institute and other important officials of State and Central Government. The Services of the MPKBY agents were recognized on the day.

Pay Roll Savings Day is celebrated on 15^th July of Every Year through out India. In Tamilnadu it is being celebrated in each District with the participation of the District Collectors. In Chennai city, Pay Roll Savings Day is being celebrated with the participation of Commissioner of Small Savings and the Regional Director, National Savings Institute and other important officials of State and Central Government. The Services of the Pay Roll Savings Group Leaders were recognized on the day.

Sanchayika Day is being celebrated on 15^th September of every year throughout India.

The World Thrift Day is being celebrated on 31^st October of every year through out the world. In India it is being celebrated on 30^th October every year. In Tamilnadu it was celebrated in each District with the participation of the District Collectors local MPs, MLAs etc. In Chennai, a State level function was held on 30th October-06 at Rani Seethai Hall with the participation of Hon’ble Minister for Finance, Govt. of Tamil Nadu , Hon'ble MP, Chief Post Master General, Commissioner of Small Savings, Regional Director, National Savings Institute etc. The agents, investors, PRSS Group Leaders, Postal officials, etc., who mobilized highest collection under small savings were given awards by the Hon’ble Minister for Finance on that day
